About Lecturer.
Safra Thasneen is a dedicated Robotics Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Robotics (SLIR), where she mentors students across Kids, Junior, and Senior levels. With a strong foundation in Mechatronics Engineering, she brings expertise in robotics, automation, and advanced programming concepts to her students.
She holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mechatronic Engineering from SLTC Research University and has earned certifications in Advanced Robotics from SLIR, Python for Beginners from the University of Moratuwa, and Artificial Intelligence from Novi Tech R&D Pvt. Ltd. Her technical skills extend to Machine Learning, Image Processing, and 3D Designing, making her well-versed in modern engineering applications.
Beyond robotics, Safra has hands-on experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) training at SLIR and is proficient in multiple programming languages, including Python, C, C++, Java, HTML, and Visual Basic. Her background also includes practical exposure to embedded electronics system designing, panel distribution board design, and electrical system simulations.
In her free time, Safra is actively involved in innovation projects at SLIR, where she applies her knowledge to develop and experiment with cutting-edge robotics and automation solutions.
At SLIR, she is committed to fostering innovation and hands-on learning, ensuring that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the ever-evolving field of robotics and automation.
