The Senior Robotics Program offers an advanced exploration of robotics and emerging technologies, including various robot chassis, Artificial Intelligence, image processing, and 3D printing. Students are introduced to programming as a set of instructions and learn that microcontrollers act as the "brain" of a robot, with Arduino as the most popular development platform. Through gradual learning of C programming, students enhance their logical thinking and apply their skills to program microcontrollers effectively.
The program also covers fundamental electronics, such as motors, sensors, and other components, allowing students to create circuits on a breadboard and build robots like obstacle-avoiding and Bluetooth-controlled models. Additionally, students gain hands-on experience with sophisticated devices and modules, including pick-and-place robotic arms, water treatment systems, and product sorting systems. They are introduced to industrial automation concepts using pneumatics, and lecturers provide guidance on essential soft skills like presentation techniques, preparing them for both technical and professional growth.
