About Lecturer.
Pathum Lakshan is a dedicated PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Robotics (SLIR), where he mentors students across various levels, focusing on automation and control systems. With a strong foundation in Electronic and Embedded Systems, Pathum brings expertise in industrial automation, electrical systems, and programming concepts to his students.
He is a graduate in Electronic and Embedded Systems from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where he gained in-depth knowledge of electronics, control systems, and programming. Pathum has also completed specialized training in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) at SLIR, further enhancing his technical proficiency in automation technologies.
His technical skills extend to electrical wiring, including single and three-phase systems, as well as basic computer software operations and automobile wiring. Beyond academics, Pathum has practical experience as a self-employed professional in electrical wiring, which he has been managing since 2016. This hands-on experience allows him to bring real-world applications into the classroom, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of automation and electrical systems.
